Clear Aligner Coach

This site is to empower orthodontists and dentists with tools to increase the use of aligner therapy or to use 100% aligner therapy in their practice so they can:

Dr. Ly Mar

My name is Ly T. Mar. I am an Orthodontist in St. Albert, Alberta. A few years ago, I made a major business decision to switch my office to 100% aligner therapy. That was one of my smartest decisions. I now celebrate the outcomes of that major shift: no emergencies, frequency of client visits have been decreased, efficient booking schedule, always running on time, more relaxed office environment, able to see same amount of patients in less days which allows me and my staff a more wellness-based lifestyle, less sterilization, decreased number of staff and my patients and staff love the change. Truly this had changed my life!Although this process was exciting, we experienced some hurdles and anxiety which in hindsight did not have to occur. We learnt by dong but it would have been very helpful to have the nitty gritty advice from a real life perspective. Because this allows me to enjoy my practice more, have more freedom and family time and to not always feel that I am on call, I want to share with my colleagues so they can experience a seamless transition to either increased aligner use or to 100 % aligner immersion.

Clear Aligners Are Great For Patients

To correct malocclusion, a growing number of patients and doctors prefer clear aligners to traditional wires and brackets, due to advantages such as:Nearly-invisible appliances
No dietary restrictions
No obstructions to flossing or brushing
Controlled single-tooth movement
Remote monitoring options

Clear Aligners
vs.
Traditional Wires & Brackets

Compared to traditional wires & brackets, clear aligners are:Comfortable
Compared to traditional wires and brackets, clear aligners are comfortable.
Removable
It’s easy to remove aligners and eat whatever you like. There are no wires to trap food or get in the way when you floss.
Discreet
Clear aligners show off your smile, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.

Coaching

I am planning four methods to facilitate this process. I am keenly aware that each of us have individual needs and I want to be able to meet those needs. I do not want someone to participate in one of these learning programs and now feel they were empowered with knowledge, tools and support.1. Small group weekend sessions at my office (6 -8 people). This will include business management and clinical classroom instruction as well as having time to observe in the office while it is fully functioning.2. Office Team coaching is also available which allows for direct work with the practice owner (clinical coaching) and assistance in the whole process from teaching, motivating and empowering the staff to sales techniques, booking techniques, quality assurance and risk management strategies.3. One-to-One coaching with the Orthodontist or Dentist that provides the relevant information required to assist the individual to activate this change in a powerful, successful manner.4. Support Follow-up: This is provided for all three of the above programs. I strongly believe this is the most important as questions often come up during the implementation phase. When these questions and issues are addressed quickly and efficiently, the process is smooth and exciting.
